CoinLens respects your privacy.
1. Information We Collect
- Coin photos you capture or upload for identification
- Saved collection data and scan history (coin details, notes, images)
- Your Apple ID user identifier (stored securely on device)
- Email address, if you choose to share it via Sign in with Apple
- Purchase history processed by Apple (we do not receive your payment card details)
2. How We Use Information
- Coin images are sent to our secure server for AI analysis
- Saved coins and scan history are stored locally on your device and optionally synced via your iCloud account
- Scan credits are stored securely on your device
- We do not sell your personal data
3. Third-Party Services
- Anthropic Claude API — processes coin images for identification
- Cloudflare — secure API proxy
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit — optional collection sync
- Apple App Store — payment processing
4. Data Retention
- Local collection data and scan history remain on your device until you delete them
- Server-side API requests are not permanently stored
5. Your Choices & Account Deletion
- Delete individual coins or scan history entries in the app
- Settings → Delete Account & Data removes your collection, scan history, credits, and signs you out
- You can disable iCloud sync in iOS Settings
- Deleting the app removes local data from your device
6. Children's Privacy
CoinLens is not directed at children under 13.
7. Security
API keys are stored on secure servers, not in the app. Communications use HTTPS.
